This website is dedicated to exploring, and quantifying campaign contributions made by former Lehman Brothers Chairman and CEO Richard Severin Fuld, Jr. along with other relevant news.
Though we are trying to be as objective as possible in these pages, there are obviously political aspects to this data.
Fuld was chairman of Lehman Brothers from 1994 until it filed for bankruptcy in September, 2008. Lehman's collapse destroyed billions in equity--and some might argue: livelihoods and retirement funds.
Fuld was criticized by some on Capitol Hill for taking home up to $480 million dollars as his firm was declaring bankruptcy. Fuld disputed the amount and claimed it was closer to $250 million. The full amount may never be known.
Fuld has maintained a high level of involvement in the politics--especially on the financial side of the house.
Since 1998, according to the Federal Election Commission, Fuld, his wife Kathleen and his daughters have given over $324,000 to political campaigns and causes.
